Business Analyst - Work with customers (internal units or external organizations) to: Develop relationships with client personnel that foster open communication. Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships. Manage customer expectations effectively. Understand the customers’ business issues and data challenges. Ensure current business processes are defined and documented. Identify their business process strengths, weaknesses, and suggest areas for improvement. Identify new business requirements. Document needed features. Ensure strategic objectives are met within the business unit. Document their business process interactions with other units and organizations. Work with customer and Development Project Managers to: Identity potential solutions that can meet the customer requirements. Negotiate and prioritize features for product iterations. Communicate and articulate broader business trends, issues, direction, focus, etc. Work with other Business Analysts to: Identify and improve common business practices and ensure standardization across the enterprise. Data Exploitation Analyst - Responsible for application of complex problem solving skills using data technology, process, and other resources, to proactively deliver analytical solutions through analysis of raw and structured data sets. Responsible for training other analysts on tool usage and data exploitation techniques. Must demonstrate initiative and relationship building/teamwork skills, be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, be able to travel internationally, and to quickly learn and then teach software applications. Must be comfortable in a training environment as a trainer, speaking publicly. Preferably would have a broad range of analytical tool experience and technical competence with the following tools or similar: I2 Analyst Notebook, Ibase, ESRI Arcview, Excel, Access, Centrifuge, Chilead. Familiarity with FBI, IC systems and processes. Systems Integrator - The successful individual provides a total systems perspective including a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of hardware and software components for a project; Independent worker, able to grasp large complex concepts and define actionable/achievable steps to achieve those goals; Identifies impacted parties across organizations. Takes ownership of issues and defines action steps to resolve/negotiate to reach goals. Creates, drafts and/or reviews program documentation, generates formal review documentation, and participates in system and program reviews. Reviews program plans, identifies inconsistencies. Coordinate, support and participate in program meetings and reviews. Ability to relate well with customers a must. Manages/updates sub tasks and master schedules. Ensures coordination and information flow occur between all programs and organizational managers; Responsible for identifying program risks and creating appropriate risk mitigation strategies, implementing those strategies as needed. Take ownership of and resolves issues, fully documenting outcomes. Must be knowledgeable in computer systems and gathering/identifying requirements. Must be knowledgeable in life-cycle support, including maintenance, administration, and management. Must be proficient in all MS Office Applications. Systems Architect - Candidate demonstrates strong understanding and application of information technology in solving business problems and/or enabling business processes; Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills and the ability to work well in a dynamic business environment; Experience designing, developing and implementing n-tiered architecture principles in a distributed environment; Experience implementing agile methodologies and principles at the project level that include iterative and test-driven development; Ability to effectively communicate complex technical material to technical and non-technical audiences orally and in writing. Responsibilities: Working closely with the project architects and project leads to ensure compliance with the enterprise architecture initiatives; Assist in developing baseline capabilities of all projects that include the mission services goals and the technology used to implement the mission services; Develop and maintain a strategic plan that includes the development and deployment of new capabilities together with milestones and role and responsibilities. This plan will serve as a primary source of information for use in the project's tactical and strategic investment planning and management; Assist in guiding projects into the enterprise service-oriented architecture initiative; Represent project at various agency IT architecture boards and meetings. Software Developer (Intermediate) - Candidate has three or more years experience in the development of web-based software applications using the J2EE framework, applying HTML, XML, and Javascript technologies. Experience in one or more multi-developer projects where coordination of work activities, scheduling, documentation of requirements and design have been demonstrated skills. Exposure or training in Java application development. Experience with performing process analysis, modeling, and facilitation to identify requirements; Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) using Oracle DBMS. Experience with deploying applications and providing basic system administration of WebLogic or equivalent application servers. Experience with source control systems (e.g.; CVS) and change control procedures. Demonstrated excellent analytical, written and verbal communications skills. Ability to work in a team environment, communicating and coordinating work among several other developers and systems administration team members, and manage multiple work tasks with little guidance/supervision and ability to complete project work according to schedule and budget; Experience as the technical lead on a multi-developer project, where responsibilities have included requirements definition, technical alternatives analysis, design of software application, development and maintenance of project documentation. Experience or training in Web Services standards and approaches, XSL and XSLT. Experience with Unix operating system, file system, permissions, shell scripting and shell commands. Familiarity with the customer computing envronment, support organizations, standards and technology direction. Responsibilities: Providing software maintenance for the Dev, Test, and Production instances of TeamWorks; Planning, scheduling, and applying vendor provided upgrades for the TeamWorks COTS product; Performing problem analysis, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for the TeamWorks environments and for BPM applications hosted within these environments; Developing new integrations and interfaces with Agency applications and systems; Communicating with the TeamWorks vendor as a primary point-of-contact for logging issues, submitting product enhancement requests, and requesting technical support from vendor professional services. |
